Exceptional Cask Serie

Die ‚Exceptional Cask Serie’ der Foursquare Destillerie begeistert Jahr um Jahr Liebhaber und Sammler von Rum.
Die neue 16. Abfüllung die der ‚Shibboleth 16 Jahre‘. Bewusst präsentiert man hier einen doch recht ‚alten‘ Rum und will das Irrtum, dass so alte Rum ‚over oak‘ sein, entgegenwirken.

Der Geschmack

Geschmacklich hat dieser 16-jährige Rum einiges zu bieten. Zunächst wären da Noten von Vanille, diversen Trockenfrüchten und eine leichte Schärfe von weißem Pfeffer. Die Nase wird verwöhnt mit weitern Aromen wie Eukalyptus und Eichenholzwürze.
Am Gaumen sind es dann verführerische cremige Vanillenoten, die zuerst erkennbar sind. Dazu gesellen sich saftige Mango, Karamell und feine Anisnoten. Im Nachklang bündeln sich noch einmal alle Aromen, ein pfeffriger Abgang bleibt in Erinnerung. Wie gewohnt von Seitens Foursquare wird auch der Shibboleth 16 Jahre ohne Zusatz von Aroma- sowie Farbstoffen, zusätzlichem Zucker sowie ohne Kältefiltration abgefüllt.
