Der 17 jährige von Old Pulteney ist ein komplexer Whisky für komplexe Persönlichkeiten. Charaktervoll und individuell. In der Nase gekochte Birnen und Äpfel, etwas Quitte, ein Hauch Vanille, dezente Würzigkeit, umrahmt von angenehmer Frische.

Im Geschmack ist Old Pulteney Single Malt Scotch Whisky 17 Jahre leicht nussig, etwas Salz, frisch, kreidig, sehr ausgeprägte Fruchttöne, Anklänge von schwarzem Pfeffer.

Der Nachklang ist deutlich trockener, dennoch würzig, mit salziger Frische. Fruchttöne rücken nochmals in den Vordergrund, als ob sie einem ein letztes Farewell zurufen wollen. Ein großartiger Whisky!
